₱25-M worth of ketamine intercepted at Clark Airport warehouse

Authorities intercepted over ₱25 million worth of ketamine during a joint airport interdiction operation at a warehouse in the Clark Freeport Zone on July 30, 2025.

The operation, conducted at around 11:12 AM, was led by the PDEA Region III Clark International Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (CRK IADITG), in coordination with PRO3, PDEA Pampanga, Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark, NBI Pampanga, PNP Aviation Security Unit 3, PNP Drug Enforcement Group, and Mabalacat City Police Station.

The intercepted parcel, declared as a “Data Cable Roll,” originated from Lier, Belgium, and was consigned to a recipient in Rodriguez, Rizal. Upon inspection, it was found to contain six plastic pouches filled with white crystalline substance—confirmed to be ketamine, a dangerous and highly abused party drug.

No suspects were arrested at the scene, but a case for violation of Section 4, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Importation of Dangerous Drugs) has been filed. Representative samples were sent to the PDEA Regional Laboratory for confirmatory testing.

PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., Regional Director of PRO3, lauded the operation, emphasizing the power of unified law enforcement:

“This successful interdiction demonstrates the strength of inter-agency coordination. With our partners—PDEA, BOC, NBI, and PNP—Central Luzon remains alert in protecting our ports from drug smuggling. We are steadfast in our commitment to protect the people and uphold public safety.”

The confiscated ketamine has an estimated street value of ₱25,310,000. Authorities continue to investigate the shipment’s origin and intended recipients.

This operation is another major breakthrough in the ongoing campaign against illegal drug trafficking in Central Luzon.
