Amid the rising floodwaters in Barangay San Nicolas 1st, Lubao due to continuous heavy rains, Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda immediately sent relief assistance to affected residents.
A total of 120 families received food packs containing rice, canned goods, and other basic necessities from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Provincial Government of Pampanga.
On behalf of Governor Nanay, the distribution was led by Lubao Vice Mayor Jhay Montemayor, Councilor Jayson Pineda-Victorino, and representatives from DSWD, PSWDO, and GSO.
Currently, 11 displaced families are temporarily sheltered at the Mortuary Chapel Evacuation Center. According to evacuees, they were only able to save their clothes before fleeing, making the government aid a much-needed lifeline during this difficult time.
