The city now boasts a total of 13 Puso Center Primary Care Facilities, following the inauguration of the newest center in Barangay Amsic on May 22, 2025.
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. led the opening ceremony, joined by Councilors Atty. Arvin Suller and Niknok Bañola, ABC President Danilo Nacu, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, and Barangay Amsic Captain Gerom Costales.
The launch is part of Mayor Lazatin’s ongoing commitment to deliver accessible and quality healthcare for all Angeleños. Just days before, another Puso Center opened in Barangay Anunas, with two more facilities set to open soon in Barangays Capaya and Balibago.

“Before I step down as mayor, I will fulfill my promise to open more health facilities for our people,” Lazatin said during the ceremony.
The expansion aligns with the city government’s effort to meet the ideal health service-to-population ratio, as nine more primary care facilities began construction in 2023.
Mayor Lazatin also assured residents of the continued availability of essential medicines in each facility to ensure complete and consistent healthcare services.
The inauguration was also attended by department heads and chiefs of offices from the city government, reflecting a united effort to improve public health infrastructure across Angeles City.
