BALLET PHILIPPINES STUNS AT EXPO 2025 OSAKA

In a breathtaking first in World Expo history, the Philippines has turned architecture into performance art—literally. Ballet Philippines takes center stage on the very walls of the Philippine Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, delivering an awe-inspiring “live façade” experience that fuses movement, design, and storytelling.

From now until June 15, the internationally celebrated dance company will animate the exterior of the pavilion with surprise performances that unfold behind and within its intricately woven panels. The result is a multisensory spectacle that blurs the lines between building and stage, performance and structure.

“This is an embodiment of our theme, *Nature, Culture, and Community: Woven Together for a Better Future*,” said architect and pavilion designer Carlo Calma. “It’s an immersive display of Filipino creativity and expression.”

Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles, COO of the Tourism Promotions Board and Secretary General of the Philippine Organizing Committee, called it a “powerful celebration of movement, identity, and collaboration—unlike anything ever staged at a World Expo.”

With limited performances running only until mid-June, this one-of-a-kind show offers visitors a rare opportunity to witness world-class Filipino talent performed on a global stage—in the most literal sense.

Catch it while you can. The building is alive. The dancers are Filipino. The moment is history in motion.
