The Association of Barangay Captains (ABC), led by President Danilo Nacu, has voiced strong support for Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr.’s innovative solar panel initiative in all 33 barangay halls in the city.
Nacu praised Mayor Lazatin’s leadership, emphasizing the long-term environmental and financial benefits of the project. “We fully support this initiative and commend Mayor Lazatin’s administration for prioritizing eco-friendly solutions for our city,” said Nacu. “This project demonstrates forward-thinking leadership that benefits not only the barangays but the entire community.”




Barangay Mining Captain Lester Hernandez also welcomed the initiative, noting that the energy savings would allow funds to be redirected toward other essential services. “This project is a great help, and with the savings on electricity, we can improve services for our residents,” Hernandez said. “We sincerely thank Mayor Lazatin for this invaluable contribution.”
Barangay Sto. Rosario Captain Renato Cosme highlighted the dual benefit of the solar panels, reducing energy costs while promoting environmental sustainability. “We appreciate Mayor Lazatin’s vision for a cost-efficient and greener future,” Cosme remarked.
Barangay Pulungbulu Captain Lorna Zabala expressed gratitude for their barangay’s inclusion in the solar program, acknowledging the significant impact on various aspects of community life. “On behalf of the Sangguniang Barangay, we deeply thank Mayor Lazatin for this tremendous help,” Zabala said.
Barangay Ninoy Aquino Captain John Terry Halili also commended the mayor for his ongoing support. “The solar panels are just one example of the many projects improving the lives of our residents,” Halili noted.
This initiative is a key step toward sustainable development in Angeles City, focusing on reducing operational costs and promoting environmental responsibility across the community.
