BCDA explores Canadian Investors for Key PH Development Hubs

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) is actively seeking international investment partnerships to accelerate the development of its key economic zones, with a recent engagement held with the Philippine Consulate in Vancouver to attract Canadian investors.

The BCDA delegation, led by Senior Vice President for Corporate Services Atty. Elvira V. Estanislao and Vice President for Public Affairs Leilani Barlongay-Macasaet, met with Philippine Consul General Dr. Gina A. Jamoralin, joined by Consul Analyn D. Ratonel and Public Relations Officer Denver A. Moreno, to present strategic development opportunities in the Philippines.

The discussion focused on BCDA-administered assets such as New Clark City in Tarlac, Camp John Hay in Baguio, and Poro Point Freeport Zone in La Union—all positioned as high-potential sites for investments in manufacturing, logistics, tourism, and sustainable infrastructure.

“This presents a transformative opportunity for both BCDA and Canadian investors to collaborate on projects that will fuel inclusive economic growth,” said Consul General Jamoralin. “Canada’s commitment to sustainability aligns well with BCDA’s vision for responsible, forward-looking development.”

The meeting underscores BCDA’s mission to promote its flagship developments as prime investment and tourism destinations, leveraging Canada’s robust business environment and the strong presence of the Filipino community.

With its solid track record in public-private partnerships, BCDA continues to position its properties as ideal gateways for global investors seeking long-term, high-growth opportunities in Southeast Asia. The Authority is committed to building international ties that drive innovation, infrastructure advancement, and national progress.
