Ten senior citizens proudly showed off their new smiles as they personally thanked Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda after receiving free dentures from the Provincial Government of Pampanga.
The denture distribution is part of the “Alagang Nanay” Preventive Healthcare Program led by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda and the Provincial Dental Office. The initiative is focused on improving not just oral health but also the confidence and well-being of indigent Kapampangan senior citizens.

Vice Governor Pineda shared that the program was inspired by her community visits through “Kapitolyo sa Barangay,” where she noticed many elderly residents struggling without teeth.
“Napansin ko sa mga barangay, maraming matatanda ang walang ngipin. Naiiwasan silang kausapin minsan. Sabi ko, kahit matanda o bata, dapat may ngipin para may kumpiyansa,” she said.
One of the beneficiaries, 80-year-old Dominga Santos, had been without dentures for a decade due to financial constraints.
“Matagal ko nang gustong magkapustiso. Wala lang talagang pera. Ngayon, mas madali na akong makakakain at makakaharap sa tao,” she said with emotion.
Dentures can cost ₱10,000 to ₱20,000 in private clinics—an amount many elderly citizens cannot afford. Through this free program, more than 100 Kapampangans have already regained their smiles at no cost.
Senior citizens interested in availing of the program may coordinate with their local Nanay Community Workers for registration and scheduling.
