Cash remittances from Overseas Filipinos (OFs) rose by 3.2% to US$2.98 billion in August 2025 from US$2.89 billion in the same month last year, driven by higher inflows from both land- and sea-based workers.
Land-based workers sent US$2.35 billion, up 3.0%, while sea-based workers contributed US$626 million, up 3.8% year-on-year.
From January to August 2025, total cash remittances grew 3.1% to US$22.91 billion, compared to US$22.22 billion during the same period in 2024.



The United States remained the top source of remittances, followed by Singapore and Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, personal remittances, which include cash transfers and remittances in kind, increased by 3.2% to US$3.31 billion in August 2025. Cumulative personal remittances for the first eight months of the year reached US$25.51 billion, up 3.1% from US$24.74 billion a year ago.
