Cebu Pacific Partners with Bulgaria Air to boost fleet for Holiday Travel Surge

Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Philippines’ leading airline, has signed a damp lease agreement with Bulgaria Air to expand its fleet capacity in time for the peak travel season in December.

Under the agreement, two Airbus A320ceo aircraft from Bulgaria Air will operate on Cebu Pacific’s domestic routes from Manila to Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, and Cagayan de Oro between December 2025 and January 2026. Each aircraft will have a 180-seat capacity.

Bulgaria Air, the national carrier of the Republic of Bulgaria, brings extensive experience in aircraft leasing partnerships worldwide. Through the damp lease arrangement, Bulgaria Air will provide the aircraft, pilots, maintenance, and insurance, while Cebu Pacific will deploy its own cabin crew.

“We are continuously exploring ways to expand our fleet and ensure operational resilience,” said Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao. “Our damp lease agreement with Bulgaria Air will allow us to meet strong travel demand from December 2025 to January 2026.”

Hristo Todorov, Chairman of the Management Board of Bulgarian Airways Group, expressed confidence in the collaboration, saying, “We are pleased to partner with Cebu Pacific – one of the most dynamically developing airlines in Asia. This collaboration reflects the high level of trust and professionalism our team delivers in global leasing projects.”

The partnership forms part of Cebu Pacific’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its operations and provide passengers with reliable and efficient service during the busiest travel period of the year.
