The Angeles City Government, led by Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, is set to begin the clearing of unsightly and hazardous “spaghetti wires” along major city roads starting July 31, 2025.
The initiative is part of the city’s push to improve urban orderliness and ensure public safety by removing dangling or tangled wires and cables that pose both visual blight and safety risks.
In preparation, the Angeles City Traffic Development Office (ACTDO) recently held a coordination meeting with representatives from telcos, utility companies, and members of the City Council. The briefing tackled project timelines, responsibilities of each party, and the need for cooperation to carry out the wire-clearing operations efficiently and with minimal disruption.
