Leading fiber broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has surpassed 500,000 active prepaid subscribers under its Surf2Sawa (S2S) brand, just two years after launch. The milestone highlights the growing demand for budget-friendly, flexible broadband options, especially among households previously unable to access postpaid plans.
Converge CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Anthony Uy said the achievement reflects the mainstream adoption of prepaid broadband, with S2S addressing the needs of price-sensitive customers. Offering top-up options from ₱50 to ₱700, unlimited internet, and contract-free installation, S2S caters to up to six devices at average speeds of 50 Mbps.
Converge executives noted strong demand in Metro Manila, Central and South Luzon, and growing uptake in Visayas and Mindanao. Community-based promotions and brand ambassadors, including celebrity moms under the P-pop group MAMAMO, have also helped drive awareness.
The company marked the half-million milestone on September 9 with employees at its Pasig headquarters, where a ceremonial countdown showcased the live subscriber tally, alongside games, contests, and appearances by Converge FiberXers players.
