DPWH COMPLETES NEW BARANGAY HALL IN GERONA, TARLAC

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has successfully completed the construction of the two-story Santiago Barangay Hall in Gerona, Tarlac. The P6.86-million project is expected to enhance the delivery of essential social services to the local community.

DPWH Tarlac 1st District Engineer Neil Farala highlighted that the 109.91-square meter facility, funded through the 2024 national budget, is designed to support a range of community programs and activities.

“This project is a significant step in improving barangay infrastructure to ensure seamless government service delivery to the communities within our jurisdiction,” Farala said.

Barangay Kagawad Reynaldo Daguio expressed satisfaction with the new hall, noting that the spacious facility has led to more efficient service delivery.

“Our old barangay hall was small and outdated. This new hall has made a big difference. Many visitors now say it’s the largest barangay hall in the western part of Gerona,” Daguio shared.

The new facility includes a kitchen, lobby, toilets, storage room, waiting area, conference room, balcony, and office rooms, offering a multifunctional space for various community needs. (PIA Region 3-Tarlac)
