A total of 2,419 farmers from the municipalities of Arayat, Sta. Ana, San Luis, and Mexico received immediate aid under the Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP), jointly implemented by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Provincial Government of Pampanga.
The distribution on Friday, August 16, was led by DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda.

“President Marcos has directed me to ensure that our farm workers are cared for and supported,” Gatchalian said, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to protect the welfare of agricultural workers.
Each farmer-beneficiary received ₱3,000 in financial assistance from the DSWD and a food pack from the provincial government to help ease the burden of rising costs and address urgent household needs.
The AKAP Program forms part of the DSWD’s continuing efforts to deliver timely support to vulnerable sectors, reaffirming government’s dedication to uplift the lives of farmers and their families.
Also present were DSWD Regional Director Venus Rebuldela, Nanay Partylist Consultant Jun Canlas, Board Members Fritzie David Dizon, Dra. Kaye Naguit, and Lucky Labung, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Fe Manarang, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist Head Jimmy Manliclic, and Vice Governor’s Chief of Staff Angelina Blanco.
