Aiming to empower local farmers and strengthen the province’s agri-processing sector, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bulacan has launched a ₱2.6 million Shared Service Facility (SSF) for vegetable and root crop processing in Barangay Gabihan.
Developed in partnership with Bausa Integrated Farm and Training Center Inc., the SSF is expected to directly benefit 22 farmers, suppliers, and trainees, with the potential to boost productivity and expand market access for the broader farming community.

“This is more than equipment—it’s a symbol of partnership and progress,” said DTI Central Luzon Regional Director Edna Dizon. “Through shared facilities, farmers can scale up, compete, and move up the value chain.”
The hub is equipped with industry-grade tools including a vacuum fryer, grinding machine, vacuum packaging machine, metal detector, dehydrator, and triple-compartment sink—all aimed at enhancing the capabilities of local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Carlota Sumpayco, chair of the Holy Rosary Cooperative, lauded the initiative as a major boost to the agriculture sector of San Ildefonso.
DTI emphasized that this project aligns with its goal of inclusive and sustainable economic development, empowering farmers and MSMEs to thrive in a competitive market.
