FYI | ANGELES CITY LAUNCHES EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 14 TO ADDRESS LONG-IMPOUNDED VEHICLES

The Angeles City Government has officially launched Executive Order No. 14, which serves as the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) for the management of long-impounded vehicles.

The measure seeks to establish clear guidelines on the handling, disposal, and auction of vehicles that have remained in impounding areas for years, with some abandoned for more than a decade.

Officials explained that the EO was enacted to resolve the long-standing problem of overcrowded impounding sites, where vehicles impounded during the terms of two former mayors can still be found.

The EO also ensures compliance with regulations set by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), the Commission on Audit (COA), and other oversight bodies.

City Hall emphasized that the initiative will promote organized management and serve the welfare of Angeleños by preventing further congestion in impounding areas.
