GLOBE RESTORES SERVICES, EXTENDS AID AFTER TYPHOON OPONG
Globe has restored mobile and internet services in several provinces across South Luzon and Visayas after Typhoon Opong swept through 29 provinces in the regions. Full service is back in Albay, Batangas, Camarines Norte, Cavite, Laguna, Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Quezon, and Sorsogon, while recovery continues in areas such as Masbate.
In Visayas, connectivity has been restored in Aklan, Antique, Biliran, Bohol, Capiz, Cebu, Eastern Samar, Guimaras, Iloilo, Negros Oriental, and Southern Leyte.
To support affected communities, Globe is deploying Libreng Tawag and Libreng Charging (LTLC) stations, with the first confirmed site in Bagumbayan, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro. The company has also rolled out relief offers, including free calls, texts, and data for Globe Prepaid and TM users, extended due dates for Postpaid and GFiber Postpaid subscribers, free 5GB data for Globe at Home Prepaid WiFi, and promo extensions for GFiber Prepaid customers in hardest-hit areas.
