The NLEX Corporation is advising motorists heading southbound after the Undas break to use the NLEX Connector Road to help ease the expected traffic buildup along the Bulacan stretch of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).
NLEX Corporation Vice President for Traffic Operations Robin Ignacio emphasized the vital role of the 8-kilometer elevated expressway in decongesting the Balintawak Cloverleaf in Quezon City, where NLEX intersects with Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA).

Motorists can access the four-lane NLEX Connector Road through the westbound Mindanao Avenue interchange leading to the NLEX Harbor Link, which begins in Karuhatan, Valenzuela City.
Ignacio noted that using the elevated expressway will help prevent congestion in the southbound lanes of NLEX, particularly in the Meycauayan-to-Pulilan segment in Bulacan.
The ₱23.2-billion NLEX Connector Road currently features open entry and exit ramps along España Boulevard and Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard in the City of Manila. These serve as Section 1 and part of Section 2 of the project, built by DM Consunji Inc. (DMCI).
Through this route, motorists traveling from North and Central Luzon to Cubao in Quezon City or Nagtahan in Manila can completely bypass EDSA by exiting at the Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard ramp. Those heading to Quezon Avenue, G. Araneta Avenue, or the Sampaloc district of Manila may also exit via the España ramp for a more direct route.
The remaining section of the NLEX Connector, which will connect to Skyway Stage 3 in Sta. Mesa, Manila, is being fast-tracked by the China Road and Bridge Corporation. Once completed, it will provide seamless travel between northern and southern expressway systems. (PIA Region 3–Bulacan)
