In celebration of Pride Month, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) hosted a special edition of “Ispluk,” an inspirational talk highlighting inclusivity and gender sensitivity in the workplace.

Bataan 1st District Representative and LGBTQIA+ advocate Congresswoman Geraldine Roman graced the event as keynote speaker. Roman, the first openly transgender woman elected to the Philippine Congress, shared her personal story of self-acceptance, courage, and leadership amidst challenges and discrimination.

“The greatest battle is coming to terms with who we are. Acceptance begins within,” she said, inspiring an audience composed of individuals across the gender spectrum.
Roman also lauded PAGCOR’s efforts in promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment, commending the agency for championing gender equality and respect for all.
The event sparked meaningful conversations on SOGIE, LGBTQIA+ rights, and inclusive governance—emphasizing the importance of creating safe and supportive spaces where everyone feels seen and valued.
