The prestigious Michelin Guide has officially awarded its first-ever Michelin Stars to Philippine-based restaurants during an elegant awarding ceremony held at the Marriott Hotel Manila on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
In a historic milestone for the country’s culinary scene, nine restaurants were recognized for their outstanding cuisine, marking the Philippines’ debut in the world-renowned Michelin Guide.

Helm received two Michelin Stars for its “excellent cooking that is worth a detour,” while eight restaurants were awarded one Michelin Star each for their “high-quality cooking that is worth a stop.”
The one-star awardees are Asador Alfonso, Celera, Gallery by Chele, Linamnam, Inatô, Kasa Palma, Hapag, and Toyo Eatery.
Michelin Guide International Director Gwendal Poullennec announced that more than 100 restaurants across Manila, nearby areas, and Cebu were selected for inclusion in the first edition of the Michelin Guide Philippines.
He highlighted that the selections were made by Michelin’s independent inspectors who evaluated the establishments based on the same international standards used around the world — ensuring the Philippines takes its well-deserved place on the global culinary map.
This recognition marks a new chapter for Filipino gastronomy, celebrating the country’s diverse flavors, creativity, and world-class talent in the kitchen.
