Pampanga Drug Sting seizes P2.7M Worth of Shabu, HVI; Four Arrested

A major drug sting operation in Bacolor, Pampanga on January 25, 2025, resulted in the confiscation of Php 2.7 million worth of shabu and the arrest of four suspects, including a High-Value Individual (HVI).

The operation, conducted at around 8:12 PM in Barangay Cabetican, is part of ongoing efforts by authorities to combat the illegal drug trade in the region. Arrested were: Alias “Jane,” 45, a fish vendor from San Quintin, Pangasinan; Alias “Jaime,” 52, a security guard from Quezon City; Alias “Jeff,” 44, a motorcycle mechanic from Caloocan City
And Alias “Rie,” 39, a tattoo artist from Quezon City.

Led by the Pampanga Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) in partnership with the Provincial Intelligence Unit, Bacolor Municipal Police Station, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 3, the operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 402 grams of suspected shabu, valued at Php 2,733,600.

In addition to the drugs, authorities recovered a Para-Ordnance .45 caliber pistol, a Colt Trooper MK-III .38 caliber revolver, ammunition, a gray Hyundai Sonata (plate number TOG 788), and other items, including a cellphone.

The suspects were apprised of their constitutional rights and are now in PDEU custody, facing charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) and for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

PBGEN Jean S. Fajardo, Regional Director of PRO3, commended the successful operation, emphasizing the commitment to rid Central Luzon of illegal drugs and ensure public safety. “The arrest of this High-Value Individual and their accomplices sends a strong message that we will not tolerate illegal activities undermining the well-being of our communities,” Fajardo said.

He also encouraged the public to report suspicious activities, stressing the importance of community involvement in the fight against drugs.

“This operation is a clear demonstration of our resolve to uphold the law, maintain order, and protect the safety of our region,” PBGEN Fajardo concluded.
