SM City Clark joined the nationwide celebration of National Bicycle Day with Pedal Forward, a movement led by SM Cares to promote cycling as a sustainable and health-conscious mode of transportation. The event, held on November 23 in multiple SM malls across the country, reinforced SM’s dedication to building bike-friendly communities and fostering a cleaner, greener future.
Declared through Proclamation No. 1052, National Bicycle Day, observed every fourth Sunday of November, highlights the environmental, health, and traffic-reducing benefits of cycling. In this spirit, Pedal Forward united cyclists of all ages and backgrounds for a day of rides, activities, and advocacy.
At SM City Clark, the celebration included a Community Bike Ride, where participants explored designated routes around the mall complex, fostering camaraderie and enjoying the joy of safe cycling. Riders also contributed to the mall’s Bike Friendly Check by sharing feedback on accessibility and recommending improvements to enhance the mall’s cyclist-friendly infrastructure.
The event underscored the benefits of cycling as a daily habit, from reducing carbon footprints to improving physical well-being, inspiring attendees to embrace a more sustainable lifestyle.
