The action kicks off on February 28, with the 2GO Princesa Run, a women’s fitness event that will draw over 300 participants. The following day, March 1, young athletes will take the spotlight with the RLC IRONKIDS Swim-Run and IRONKIDS Run, offering a chance for kids to experience the thrill of racing. Meanwhile, the Sunrise Sprint, a short-distance triathlon, will challenge both beginners and seasoned athletes.
Alongside the races, the Balayong Festival will add to the festive atmosphere, celebrating Puerto Princesa’s iconic cherry blossoms and offering spectators and participants alike a truly immersive weekend experience.

“We’ve refined our bike course to make it faster and more picturesque, and our new run course will give athletes an immersive Puerto Princesa experience,” Valencia said.

The race will showcase both local and international triathletes, with Philippine standouts like Mervin Santiago, Sebastian Julian Teves, and Bianca Española vying for top positions. They will compete against world-class athletes, including Anna Lobanova (Thailand), Citra Melati (Indonesia), and Megan Brazell (USA), among others. The Badge Tally Competition will reward IRONMAN-affiliated TriClubs, offering cash prizes based on participation in the IRONMAN® 70.3, 5150, and Sunrise Sprint events throughout the season. Additionally, the Puerto Princesa Championship Awards will recognize outstanding performances, including:
