On March 13, 2025, the University of Sto. Tomas (UST) led the ceremonial turnover of the Heritage Plaza Redevelopment and Magalang Conservation Management Plan to the local government officials of Magalang, headed by Mayor Malu Paras Lacson.

The project aims to preserve Magalang’s cultural heritage while transforming the plaza into a vibrant space for community activities and tourism. Key improvements include enhancing infrastructure, aesthetics, and functionality to maintain the plaza’s historical significance.

The event was attended by NCCA Executive Director Prof. Eric Zerrudo, Mayor Lacson, Tourism Officer Ryan M. Miranda, and UST representatives.
