100 Pampanga farmers graduate from SM’s Sustainable Farming Program

Around 100 farmers from the towns of Guagua and Santa Rita have successfully completed the Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan (KSK) on Sustainable Agriculture training program, culminating in a graduation ceremony held on June 25 at the Event Centre of SM City Pampanga.

The program, spearheaded by SM Foundation, was conducted in partnership with multiple government agencies and institutions including the Department of Agriculture (DA), DSWD, DTI, DOST, TESDA, DOT, the LGUs of Guagua and Santa Rita, BDO Network Bank, and St. Isidore the Farmer Learning Center, Inc.

Through weeks of intensive hands-on learning, participants were equipped with practical knowledge on sustainable farming and urban gardening, empowering them not only to improve food security but also to venture into agri-entrepreneurship.

SM Foundation Vice President for Livelihood and Outreach Programs Cristie Angeles commended the graduates, stressing that sustainable agriculture is key to achieving long-term community growth and resilience.

Launched in 2007, KSK has become a flagship Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of SM Foundation, transforming the lives of thousands of farmers across the country by promoting responsible and profitable farming methods.
