Police in Tarlac have arrested a high-value target and his cohort in a buy-bust operation that led to the seizure of ₱510,000 worth of suspected shabu late Friday night.
The joint operation by the Tarlac Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PPDEU) and the Tarlac City Police Station’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) took place around 11:56 PM on August 8, 2025, in Tarlac City.

Authorities identified the suspects as “Aiai,” 35, a male high-value individual, and his 28-year-old female accomplice “Lhey.” They were caught in the act of selling suspected shabu, leading to the confiscation of 75 grams of the illegal substance.
Both suspects are now detained at the Tarlac PPO and face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police Regional Office 3 Director PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. commended the swift and coordinated efforts of the operatives, reaffirming PRO3’s commitment to eradicating the drug menace in Central Luzon.
“This successful operation is a clear message to those engaged in the illegal drug trade — there is no safe place for you in Central Luzon. We will relentlessly pursue you until our communities are free from the scourge of illegal drugs,” Peñones said.
