The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in partnership with former board member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab and the Nanay Partylist, distributed relief goods to 1,000 flood-hit families in Barangays Del Pilar and San Pedro Cutud.
Each barangay received 500 family food packs containing rice, canned goods, coffee, and chocolate mix. Cayabyab, along with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, led the distribution, assisted by barangay officials Jerry Canlas and Filipina Dela Cruz, as well as Liga ng mga Barangay leaders Benjie Angeles and Elmer Manguerra.

Flooding in San Pedro Cutud reached waist-deep in some areas, forcing 28 families to evacuate to Barangay Lara. The floods were triggered by heavy rains brought by the enhanced southwest monsoon or habagat.
Cayabyab assured residents that further assistance will be provided if necessary. The DSWD and Nanay Partylist continue to monitor the situation.
