Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas, the 11-member Senate slate endorsed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., is set to mount a full-force campaign in Pampanga on April 23 with a series of rallies in four key venues, aiming to lock in voter support from one of the country’s most vote-rich provinces.
Pampanga, home to over 1.67 million registered voters, has long been considered a political stronghold and a crucial battleground in national elections. In 2022, President Marcos garnered more than 735,000 votes in the province—underscoring its vital role in shaping the national outcome.
The Pampanga will be hosted by some of the province’s most influential leaders. In Angeles City, Alyansa will be welcomed by Pampanga 1st District Rep. Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II and Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. at the Sen. Lito Lapid Arena Sports Complex.
San Fernando City will host two major gatherings: one at the Laus Events Center, led by Pampanga 2nd District Rep. and former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo along with Lubao Mayor Esmeralda “Esmie” Pineda; and another at the Kingsborough
International Convention Center with 4th District Rep. Anna York Bondoc-Sagum and mayors from central Pampanga.
The day’s campaign push will culminate in a province-wide show of unity at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, where provincial officials are expected to express their full support for the Alyansa slate.
Campaign manager and Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco emphasized the significance of the Pampanga campaign, calling it a “game-changer” for Alyansa’s senatorial push. “The people of Pampanga are looking for leaders who will work hard, not just grandstand. That’s exactly what Alyansa offers,” Tiangco said.
Alyansa’s lineup includes Benhur Abalos, Abby Binay, Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Pia Cayetano, Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, Lito Lapid, Manny Pacquiao, Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Francis “Tol” Tolentino, Erwin Tulfo, and Camille Villar.
Lapid, a native of Porac and former Pampanga governor, is expected to receive an especially warm welcome as he returns to his home province. Widely respected for his service and deep Kapampangan roots, Lapid remains a key figure in the local political landscape.
“We’re not just here to campaign,” Tiangco added. “We’re here to partner with Kapampangans for real change—through jobs, infrastructure, social services, and sustainable progress. Alyansa is committed to delivering a Senate that truly works for every Filipino.”
