SAMID GLOBAL EXPANSION: EMIRATES TO HIRE 1,500 PILOTS

In celebration of World Pilots’ Day on May 1, Emirates reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its flight deck team, announcing plans to hire over 1,500 pilots within the next two years, including more than 550 this year alone.

The airline, which already boasts a 4,600-strong flight crew, is seeking experienced aviators to join through four career pathways: Direct Entry Captains, Accelerated Command, First Officers Type Rated, and First Officers Non-Type Rated. This recruitment effort supports Emirates’ global growth strategy and expanding fleet of 261 modern, all wide-body aircraft, including the Airbus A380, Boeing 777, and the latest A350.

Filipino pilots are among those invited to apply, with eight already flying for the airline. Emirates highlights its fast-track Accelerated Command program, which has already placed over 80 First Officers on the path to becoming Captains.

Pilots enjoy a competitive tax-free salary, luxury accommodations in Dubai, extensive family benefits, and access to exclusive perks through the Emirates Platinum Card and Premium Club Membership. With 42 annual leave days, global travel privileges, and a vibrant expatriate lifestyle in Dubai, the airline continues to attract top-tier talent from across the world.

Since 2022, Emirates has welcomed nearly 2,000 pilots. This year’s recruitment roadshows will reach over 40 cities worldwide, including upcoming stops in Norway, Finland, and Sweden.
