Angeles City, led by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., has been named 1st runner-up in the Top Tourist Destination-City category at the 2024 Tourism Recognition for Enterprises and Stakeholders (TRES) Awards.

The award was accepted by Angeles City Tourism Officer-in-Charge Anneleen Antonio-Sugui at a ceremony hosted by the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 3 at Fil-Invest Mimosa+ Leisure City, Clark Freeport Zone.

This recognition highlights the city’s ongoing efforts to boost tourism through programs promoting local heritage, culture, and economic growth, led by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel. Strengthening the tourism sector remains one of Mayor Lazatin’s key initiatives, focused on attracting visitors and supporting local businesses.
