The Angeles City government, led by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., continues its free anti-flu vaccination initiative for City Hall employees, senior citizens, and residents with co-morbidities.
On January 2, 2025, Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel led a preparatory meeting for the vaccination rollout. Key officials in attendance included City Health Officer Dr. Verona Guevarra, Human Resources and Management Officer Rowena Yambao, City Social Welfare and Development Officer-in-Charge Francis De Guzman, Office for Senior Citizens Affairs Head Ed Torres, and Gender and Development Officer-in-Charge Mina Cabiles.
“It is essential to protect our City Hall employees so they can perform their duties effectively and continue serving Angeleños. Senior citizens are also a priority, as this reflects our administration’s commitment to their health and well-being,” Mayor Lazatin stated.
Since November 2023, the vaccination program has immunized 4,682 city government employees, ensuring they are safeguarded as they carry out their responsibilities for the community.
