Agnes Romero stages solo exhibit

From homemaking to supporting decisions in the boardroom, now to the canvass where her paintings exude the beauty and splendor of life – Agnes Macam-Romero will be staging “Portraits of Life, A Vibrance of Curves”, her first solo exhibit featuring some 20 of her paintings.

“Painting has long been part of my life and perhaps it is about time to let other people see what I have created. They were heartily done from inspirations like my family and blessings we have,” Romero said.

Agnes Romero, wife of business leader Rene Romero of Romac Group, revealed that it has been a childhood dream to become a painter.

After getting lessons from one artist, she formally started to paint in 2003, and has produced numerous pieces that revolve on various subjects like nature, human interests, family, settlements and community life. She has also been commissioned for portraits.

Romero’s works found homes in many corporate and government offices, residences and public halls. The Philippine Embassy in Washington DC has also hosted her paintings.

“Her paintings are more than a fulfillment of her passion. They also symbolize women empowerment as her artworks could be seen to bring messages of unity, of hope and of harmony in the family and community,” said husband Rene.

Organized by the Tourism Office of City of San Fernando in cooperation with SM Pampanga, Portraits of Life, A Vibrance of Curves will run from May 15 to 22, 2024.
