𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐯’𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬

As instructed by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., Chief Adviser IC Calaguas on April 11, 2023 met with the officials of Department of Education – Division of Angeles City, led by Superintendent Rolando Pozon, to discuss the improvements in the education sector for the next academic year.

Calaguas is with Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel during the meeting at the Mayor’s Office Conference Room.

Mayor Lazatin is eyeing to build state-of-the-art computer laboratories with desktop computers and smart TVs in all 17 public high schools in the city.

The city government will also install fiber optics internet connection in the said computer labs to aid public school students in their studies.

Lazatin continues to bridge the gap in terms of technology and education, as he eyes to make Angeles City a techno-hub city.

Meanwhile, Mayor Lazatin also instructed General Services Officer Evangeline Malonzo, City Engineer Donato Dizon and Information and Communication Technology Division Chief Michael Lising to inspect all public schools in the city to assess all the needs in the classroom. 

Also present during the meeting are Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officer Irish Bonus-Llego, City Nutrition Officer Jermaine Jam Aguila, Gender and Development Officer Mina Cabiles, and Erick Mae Dizon of CEO.

Part of the flagship programs of Mayor Lazatin is to provide quality and accessible education.
