Angeles City opens new specialty clinics

The Angeles City Government, led by Carmelo ‘Jon’ B. Lazatin II, inaugurated several new healthcare facilities on March 4, 2026 at the lobby of Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center.

Among the newly launched services are the Mental Health Clinic, the Rheumatic Fever–Rheumatic Heart Disease (RF-RHD) Clinic, and the Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) Provider Public Health Unit. During the event, the Family and Community Medicine Department was also recognized for attaining Level III Accreditation.

The clinics and programs have been approved and accredited by PhilHealth, allowing residents greater access to affordable and expanded medical services.

In his message, Mayor Jon Lazatin underscored the importance of collaboration in strengthening public health services, crediting the combined efforts of the local government, doctors, healthcare workers, and various city departments for the milestone.

A ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremony marked the formal opening of the facilities, symbolizing a new phase in the city’s commitment to delivering improved and reliable healthcare services for Angeleños.
