Angeles City public high schools prepped for computer modernization

On April 13, 2023, upon the instruction of Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., General Services Officer Evangeline Malonzo, City Engineer Donato Dizon and Information and Communication Technology Division Chief Michael Lising conducted an ocular inspection of four public high schools in the city to assess all the needs in their classrooms.

This is in preparation for the ICT Modernization Program of the city government as Mayor Lazatin is eyeing to build state-of-the-art computer laboratories with desktop computers and smart TVs in all 17 public high schools in the city.

The city government will also install fiber optics internet connection in the said computer labs to aid public school students in their studies.

The inspection in the other public high schools will follow suit.

Among the public schools that were inspected today are Angeles City National High School, Angeles City National Trade School, Northville 15 Integrated School, and Francisco G. Nepomuceno Memorial High School.

The city hall officials were joined during the inspection by Department of Education — Division of Angeles, headed by Superintendent Rolando Pozon.

Part of the flagship programs of Mayor Lazatin is to provide quality and accessible education.
