Angeles City sustains peace and order, boosts confidence of tourists and investors

The Angeles City government continues to reinforce its reputation as a safe and tourist-friendly destination through sustained peace and order initiatives and strong collaboration among key sectors.

Under the leadership of Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II, the city has prioritized public safety through close coordination with the Angeles City Police Office and other law enforcement agencies. These efforts have contributed to maintaining a low crime rate, strengthening the confidence of both local and foreign visitors, as well as investors.

Among the initiatives is the establishment of a Korean Police Help Desk at Police Station 4, aimed at assisting Korean nationals and enhancing coordination between authorities and the Korean community in the city. The program seeks to ensure that foreign visitors feel secure and supported during their stay.

To further improve engagement with international tourists, the Angeles City Police Office also conducted a Korean Language Training Program for its personnel in partnership with the Korean Community Association of Central Luzon. The four-week training equipped police officers with basic language skills and cultural awareness to better serve Korean residents and visitors.

The city’s commitment to safety was also highlighted in a joint law enforcement operation involving the Angeles City Police Office, the Quezon City Police District, and the Manila Police District. The coordinated effort led to the arrest of a suspect linked to a robbery with homicide case involving a Korean national.

Authorities identified the suspect, known by the alias “Bote,” who was apprehended through the service of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 115 of Angeles City for violation of Article 294 of the Revised Penal Code. The swift action was welcomed by the Korean community and underscored the effectiveness of inter-agency cooperation.

Beyond law enforcement, the city government continues to work closely with various business groups to sustain a business-friendly and tourism-ready environment. These include the Angeles Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hotel and Restaurant Association in Pampanga, American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines – Northern Luzon, Alliance of Travel and Tour Agencies of Pampanga, Clark Investors and Locators Association, Chamber of Real Estate and Builders’ Associations, and the Angeles City Alliance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.

Through these partnerships, authorities aim to strengthen tourism and economic growth while ensuring safety across commercial areas, hotels, restaurants, and entertainment hubs.

With continued cooperation among government, law enforcement, tourism stakeholders, and the private sector, Angeles City remains committed to providing a secure, welcoming, and vibrant environment for residents, tourists, and investors alike.
