The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has partnered with the Philippine Tennis Association (PHILTA) to establish the Philippine Tennis Center in New Clark City, further strengthening its vision of transforming the area into a premier sports destination.
BCDA President and CEO Joshua M. Bingcang and PHILTA Secretary General and Navotas City Mayor John Rey M. Tiangco formalized the partnership through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed on September 10, 2025.
“This project ensures that every Filipino child with a dream of becoming a tennis player—regardless of where they come from—has the chance to pursue it,” Bingcang said.
Tiangco thanked BCDA for the collaboration, saying, “The perfect place to build this facility is no other than New Clark City because of our shared vision for sports tourism.”
Around 10 hectares of land have been allocated for the center, which will meet international standards and support both elite athletes and grassroots training programs. The facility is expected to boost sports tourism, spur economic activity, and align with the Philippine Development Plan 2023–2028 to promote the country as a hub for sports, wellness, and tourism.
New Clark City already houses world-class facilities such as the Athletics Stadium, Aquatics Center, and Athletes’ Village, and is home to the National Academy of Sports.
Also present at the signing ceremony were BCDA Chairperson Atty. Larry B. Paredes and PHILTA Executive Director Marie Antoinette S. Mendoza.
