The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with PhilTower MIDC, a joint venture between Miescor Infrastructure Development Corporation and Phil-Tower Consortium Inc., to improve digital connectivity across major BCDA properties, including Bonifacio Global City, New Clark City, and Morong Discovery Park.

This collaboration aims to strengthen telecommunications infrastructure by installing shared towers in strategic locations, supporting the digital transformation of the Philippines. PhilTower MIDC, a leader in shared infrastructure, is committed to improving connectivity and driving innovation across BCDA sites.

PhilTower has already begun establishing infrastructure in New Clark City, managing rooftop installations at the Government Building and the National Academy of Sports. These sites are currently used by major telecom providers, Globe and Smart, to improve digital services in the area.

BCDA President and CEO Joshua M. Bingcang expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, noting that it aligns with BCDA’s goals of advancing innovation, efficiency, and sustainability in the country’s digital infrastructure. He emphasized that the collaboration would enhance connectivity in high-priority areas, positioning the Philippines as a leader in Southeast Asia’s digital revolution.

PhilTower MIDC President Devid Gubiani highlighted the consortium’s expertise and commitment to advancing the country’s socio-economic growth through improved connectivity in key hubs like Bonifacio Global City and New Clark City.

The partnership marks a significant step in modernizing the Philippines’ telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring the country remains competitive in the evolving digital landscape.

The ceremonial signing was attended by PhilTower MIDC executives and BCDA officials, including Kalvin Laurence Antonio B. Parpan, Maida B. Bruce, Mary Grace C. Perez, and Erwin Kenneth R. Peralta.
