The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the families of fallen soldiers at the 8th HERO Golf Cup 2025: Golf for a Cause for the Children of Fallen Soldiers, held at the Camp Aguinaldo Golf Course in Quezon City.
The event, organized by the HERO Foundation, Inc. (HFI), raised funds to provide educational assistance to children of military personnel who died or were incapacitated while serving the nation. This year marks BCDA’s fourth consecutive year supporting the HFI, emphasizing its ongoing dedication to ensuring a brighter future for these children.
“We stand in solidarity with the families of our fallen soldiers. By supporting the education of their children, we honor their sacrifices and help secure a brighter future for their loved ones,” said Erwin Kenneth R. Peralta, BCDA Vice President for Investment Promotions and Marketing.
HFI President Gen. Emmanuel Bautista AFP (Ret) expressed his gratitude toward BCDA for its support. “We are deeply thankful for the unwavering support of BCDA, especially President Jake Bingcang. Their partnership helps us continue our mission to provide opportunities for these children,” said Gen. Bautista.
The donation ceremony was attended by key officials, including Gen. Bautista, Peralta, HFI Ex-Officio Member Gen. Noel Clement AFP (Ret), HFI Executive Director MGen. Victor Bayani AFP (Ret), and BCDA’s Head of CSR & Stakeholder Relations-Public Affairs Department, Maricar Villamil.
The HERO Foundation, in partnership with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, has supported 2,756 scholars, including 1,261 college graduates, and currently assists 232 active scholars.
The event highlighted the importance of partnerships in continuing the legacy of fallen soldiers by providing their children with educational opportunities.
