BDO Unibank, Inc. reaffirmed its commitment to advancing women’s empowerment by sharing valuable insights on leadership and financial independence at this year’s She Talks Asia Summit. The event, which brought together influential women leaders, focused on the importance of representation, access to financial resources, and financial literacy in building a more inclusive future.
Marla Garin-Alvarez, Vice President and Head of BDO’s Sustainability Office, highlighted the need for women to take control of their financial futures. “Empowering women goes beyond leadership positions—it’s about ensuring they have the financial knowledge and resources to build secure futures,” Garin-Alvarez stated.
She was joined on stage by She Talks Asia co-founder Iza Calzado, session moderator Riki Flores Reyes, and She Talks Asia co-chair and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach. Together, these remarkable women motivated Filipinas to dream big, take leadership roles, and gain financial independence.
Through events like She Talks Asia, BDO continues to champion initiatives that promote the empowerment of women, fostering opportunities for growth and success in both leadership and financial sectors.
