BDO Unibank has earned a Gold Anvil Award for its “Kabayan Connections” campaign at the 61st Anvil Awards, winning under the Public Relations Programs – Best Use of Influencer Marketing category.
The bank was among a select group of Gold Anvil recipients, standing out from more than 170 participating companies in the prestigious awards organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP).
The “Kabayan Connections” campaign leveraged credible brand ambassadors and digital influencers to deliver timely financial management and security tips to overseas Filipinos and their families in the Philippines.
Actor Piolo Pascual helped strengthen the campaign’s institutional credibility, reflecting his more than two decades of partnership with BDO. Meanwhile, social personality Small Laude, along with content creators Christian Antolin and Justine Luzares, used relatable storytelling to simplify banking concepts and make financial discussions more accessible to audiences.
Beyond product promotion, the campaign focused on building emotional connection and trust by reflecting the shared experiences and aspirations of overseas Filipinos. The initiative helped promote financial awareness, support financial inclusion, and reinforce BDO’s Alagang Kabayan commitment to serving Filipinos wherever they may be.
