The Bureau of Customs – Port of Clark, together with its Enforcement and Security Service (ESS), conducted an intensive On-the-Job Training (OJT) program aimed at giving students a deeper understanding of the bureau’s security measures, operational procedures, and enforcement functions.
The program was designed to expose students to the real-world responsibilities involved in safeguarding the country’s borders while instilling discipline and professionalism.

Students from Colegio de Tarlac, under Class “Tanglaw-Lahi,” participated in the training, gaining valuable insights through a series of lectures and hands-on activities.
A highlight of the program was the “Hell Week,” a challenging segment that tested the students’ physical endurance, discipline, teamwork, and resilience.
Participants also attended lectures on the operational overview of the Port of Clark and key security and enforcement provisions under the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).
Officials said the ESS closely supervised all activities to ensure the safety and well-being of the trainees throughout the program.
Meanwhile, District Collector Jairus S. Reyes expressed support for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of preparing the youth to better understand the role of Customs in protecting the nation’s borders and maintaining security at the country’s ports of entry.
