BOC SEIZES P1.4B WORTH OF LUXURY VEHICLES IN PASAY, PARAÑAQUE

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) uncovered P1.4 billion worth of imported luxury vehicles—including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maybach, and Maserati—stored in warehouses in Pasay and Parañaque during an operation by its Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) on February 13, 2025.

The operation was launched after the BOC received reports of allegedly smuggled luxury cars being sold online. The targeted sellers were identified as AC Che Gong Miao in Pasay and TopCar Specialist and Trading Corp. in Parañaque.

BOC Commissioner Bien Rubio emphasized that this operation marks a more aggressive strategy in cracking down on smuggling and ensuring the government collects the rightful duties and taxes. CIIS Director Verne Enciso confirmed that multiple high-end vehicles were found, including Ferrari LaFerrari, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Mercedes-Benz V-Class, and more.

The warehouses were sealed, and the responsible parties were given 15 days to submit proof of proper importation and tax payments. Failure to comply will result in charges under the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.

The BOC remains committed to combating smuggling in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s “Bagong Pilipinas” campaign.
