The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has reaffirmed its commitment to curb smuggling and ensure the proper collection of duties and taxes under the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA), in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
In a statement, the agency said it is closely monitoring and supporting the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee investigation, chaired by Senator Rodante Marcoleta, into alleged anomalous flood control projects, which also raised questions over the luxury vehicles linked to the Discaya family.
