Barangay Cutcut lass is Mutya Ning Angeles 2023

Genica Mae Cruz, the 20-year old lass from Barangay Cutcut has been crowned Mutya Ning Angeles 2023. Cruz brings home P1 Million pesos in cash, plus P150,000 Cash and 300,000 in Products and Services from Beautéderm Corporation.

Frankie Samantha Hicban of Barangay Sta. Teresita is 1st Runner-Up, Glezette Garcia of Barangay San Jose is 2nd Runner-Up, Ehjewon Apuya of Barangay Anunas is 3rd Runner-Up, and Angelica Cassandra Santos of Barangay Agapito Del Rosario, 4th Runner-Up.

The cash prizes are P200,000 for the first runner up, P150,000 for the 2nd runner-up, P100,000 for the 3rd runner-up and P50,000 for the 4th runner-up.

The new Mutya Ning also won the awards ‘Best in Talent’ and ‘Miss Fiesta’. The other special awardees are:
📍Best in Long Gown – Glezette Garcia of Barangay San Jose.
📍Miss Friendship – Kathleen Joy Rivera of Barangay Capaya.
📍Miss Photogenic – Frankie Samantha Hicban of Barangay Sta. Teresita.
📍JDN Ambassadress or Miss Nepo – Glezette Garcia of Barangay San Jose.
📍Miss Hausland – Frankie Samantha Hicban of Barangay Sta. Teresita.

In his message, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin, Jr. said “Last year’s pageant was the best yet – then. This year, we made Mutya Ning Angeles even grander, more prestigious.”

The mayor shared that the journey of the 19 finalists for Mutya Ning Angeles 2023 started in September, then a series of activities where candidates showcased their beauties, poised and intelligence.

He congratulated the MNA 2023 candidates, “All of you are winners because you embody intelligence and talent of the Angeleña. To the next Mutya, congratulations. You will be a part of the most prestigious list of exemplary Angeleñas.”

In her farewell walk, Mutya Ning Angeles 2022, Joanne Marie Thornley, expressed gratitude to all who became part of her reign, and said “On to the next journey,” as she will be competing in Mutya Ning Kapampangan 2023, whose coronation night is set on December 10.

Binibining Pilipinas-Universe MJ Lastimosa, Former Angeles City first lady Herminia De Guzman-Pamintuan, San Juan Councilor and former cager Ervic Vijandre, LIPAD Corporation President and CEO Noel F. Manankil and Department of Tourism Region 3 Director Richard G. Daenos performed the gruelling task of being the members of the Board of Judges.

Beautéderm Ambassador, singer and actor Sam Milby, who stars in the Netflix hit ‘Replacing Chef Chico’ gave the crowd and the candidates a ‘kilig’ serenade.

The pageant, which was held at the posh Grand Palazzo Royale, was hosted by actor, singer, model and host Edgar Allan ‘EA’ Guzman and Angeles City’s very own DJ Tina Moran.

Mutya Ning Angeles is a priority project of the Angeles City government, led Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin, Jr., and is a co-presentation of Beautéderm Corporation, led by CEO Rei Anicoche-Tan.
