The Provincial Government of Bulacan once again brought home the Seal of Good Local Governance or SGLG in the 2023 National Awarding Cluster 2 held in Manila. This is the seventh consecutive year that the province has received the seal since the launching of SGLG in 2014.
The award shows the effective and honest management of the province in delivering services to the Bulakenyos.
Bulacan received P4 million pesos worth of SGLG Incentive Fund Subsidy that can be used for high-impact projects in the province.
According to Governor Daniel Fernando, the recognition is a reflection of the collective commitment to effective management, development, and service excellence.
Fernando also recognized the efforts of SGLG in motivating and challenging local governments to meet the standards that result in more productive and progressive administration that will benefit their respective constituents.
Among the 493 local governments that passed the criteria for the 2023 SGLG award are the municipalities of Angat, Balagtas, Bulakan, DoΓ±a Remedios Trinidad, Guiguinto, Marilao, Pandi, Pulilan, and Santa Maria; and Baliwag City, each of which received an SGLG Incentive Fund Subsidy worth P1.8 million pesos.
