The talent and cooking skills of the contestants were highlighted in the recently concluded Calutung Camaru held at Magalang Town Plaza on August 22.

Brgy. Sta. Cruz was hailed Calutung Camaru champion, while Brgy. San Nicolas 1 and Brgy. Ayala won 1st and 2nd Runners-Up, respectively.

The Calutung Camaru cooking contest is one of the featured activities of the Camaru Festival 2023 that aims to delight and pay tribute to the creative and delicious traditional food of Magalang and continue to recognize the Province of Pampanga as the Culinary Capital of the Philippines.

Mayor Malu Paras Lacson together with Councilor Norman Lacson and Councilor Popoy Miranda, Chairman of Pyestang Camaru 2023, Municipal Treasurer Raissa L. Bayani led this program in collaboration with PSAU – CHEFS.
