CANDABA 3RD VIADUCT NOW OPEN

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. officially opened the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Candaba 3rd Viaduct on December 10, 2024, in Pulilan, Bulacan. A landmark project under the Administration’s Build Better More infrastructure program, the viaduct is set to improve transportation efficiency and support economic growth.

Joining President Marcos in the inaugural drive-through were key officials, including Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary and Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) Member Manuel Bonoan, House Speaker Martin Romualdez, Metro Pacific Investment Corporation (MPIC) Chairman and MPTC Chairman and CEO Manuel Pangilinan, and Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) President and COO Arrey Perez.

The NLEX Candaba 3rd Viaduct, a five-kilometer structure constructed between two existing bridges connecting Pulilan, Bulacan, and Apalit, Pampanga, aims to alleviate congestion on the older viaducts, particularly during peak travel periods. Completed ahead of schedule after breaking ground in June 2023, the project is a vital addition to the NLEX network, which links the National Capital Region (NCR) to Central and Northern Luzon.

By enhancing mobility for commuters, businesses, and tourists, the viaduct strengthens regional connectivity while boosting motorist safety. This critical infrastructure project is expected to play a significant role in driving economic progress and advancing the Administration’s vision for a modern, interconnected Philippines.

“This viaduct represents progress and is a testament to our vision of a better-connected and more prosperous Philippines,” President Marcos said during the ceremony.

The Candaba 3rd Viaduct stands as a symbol of the government’s dedication to delivering impactful projects that address the nation’s growing infrastructure needs while fostering inclusive development.
