CAPITOL INAUGURATES PAMPANGA PROVINCIAL DIALYSIS CENTER 1 IN GUAGUA

Indigent patients from Pampanga’s 2nd congressional district now have improved access to life-saving treatment with the opening of the Pampanga Provincial Dialysis Center 1 in Guagua.

The new facility serves patients from Floridablanca, Guagua, Lubao, Porac, Sasmuan, and Sta. Rita, offering up to 120 dialysis sessions daily across two shifts, Mondays through Saturdays. Eligible patients may receive up to 156 free dialysis sessions per year** with support from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).

A product of collaboration between the Pampanga provincial government, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the center is operated under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with B. Braun Philippines.

PAGCOR provided ₱52.9 million for 43 dialysis machines and a water reverse osmosis system, while DPWH allocated ₱29.3 million for the construction of the facility.

PAGCOR Chair and CEO Alejandro Tengco affirmed the agency’s continued support for Pampanga’s healthcare initiatives, including the upcoming Multi-Specialty Hospital in Clark.

“We are in the right direction. If every province had this kind of project, we could help many more Filipinos,” Tengco said.

The provincial government is also preparing to open four additional dialysis centers, including ones in San Fernando and Apalit, with the latter set for inauguration next month.

According to the Provincial Health Office, Pampanga is currently assisting 3,494 dialysis patients across the province.
