The City College of Angeles (CCA) has officially partnered with Yokohama Tire Philippines, Inc. (YTPI) through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), making CCA a key partner institution in YTPI’s esteemed Scholarship Program and strengthening opportunities for Angeleño students.
The MOA was signed by Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II and YTPI President and CEO Atsushi Funayama, with CCA Officer-in-Charge President Dr. Jenneth E. Sarmiento and YTPI’s Nishimon Masatsugu serving as witnesses.

During the ceremony, CCA students Mae Anne Guibo and Vrenz Llyr Matibag were formally introduced as YTPI scholars. Their scholarship grants them full tuition and fees coverage, summer class privileges, a monthly allowance, and a book allowance each semester. To remain qualified, scholars are expected to maintain excellent academic standing and good moral conduct.

YTPI also expressed the possibility of offering employment opportunities to scholars after graduation, providing a direct bridge between education and industry experience.
Mayor Lazatin encouraged the scholars to embody the true qualities of an Angeleño—resilience, respect, and integrity—in their studies and future careers, reminding them that they carry with them the pride and values of Angeles City.
