The Bureau of Animal Industry has certified the Angeles City Dog Pound and Animal Shelter. This is a first for the City!
With this certification, the Angeles City Veterinary Office will now be able to accredit backyard pet breeders.
The Angeles City Dog Pound and Animal Shelter is in line with the aim of Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. to put premium on the welfare of animals.
Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, both known animal lovers, together with City Veterinarian Dr. Christian Xyric Arcilla, and City Engineer Donato Dizon pushed for the accreditation of the Dog Pound and Animal Shelter to accommodate the needs of more dogs and cats.
